UNOCCUPIED SINCE 1884
Crown Claims Land
No-one has claimed an interest in half an acre of unoccupied land at Kirwee. in spite of advertisements about it, so the Lands Department is going to take it under the Public Works Act and add it to the Kirwee Domain. The land, next to the Kirwee tennis courts, was bought on April 3. 1884, in the name of Philip Keat, a labourer, for the sum of £l7. Since then no dealings have been registered against the title, and non-one knows what happened to Philip Keat. He is almost certainly dead now. The Lands Department ‘ made inquiries about the land and discovered that no rates had been paid to tlie Malvern County Council. Although the land is to be taken by the Crown, compensation will still be payable if any genuine claimant comes forward.
