Bandon Fit For Riccarton
Bandon pleased in a fine trial over six furlongs at Awapuni yesterday and he will leave for Riccarton later this week a fit horse for his Canterbury engagements. Another to please yesterday was Serena, which makes her open debut at Feilding.
On the inside trial Bandon worked over a round and then breezed home from the five furlongs in Imin 3sec, the last three in 37sec. It was a fine effort and he is right at bis best for the George Adams Handicap on Monday.
Serena and Firebrand ' worked well over five furlongs lin Imin 8 2-ssec, the last three in 40 2-ssec. Serena is fit and ready for her open class debut at Feilding. Firebrand was disappointing last time out but can do better.
