GYMKHANA C HERTS EY’ CH ERTS EY’ CHERTSEY EASTER MONDAY EASTER MONDAY” EASTER MONDAY CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL COMBINED FEE FOR DOG REGISTRATION AND HYDATID CONTROL PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, in accordance with the provisions of the Dogs Registration Act, 1955, the Hydatids Act, 1959, and amendments thereto, the Christchurch City Council has prescribed the following COMBINED REGISTRATION AND HYDATID CONTROL FEES to be paid in respect of dogs required to be registered in its district for the registration year commencing on Apriil 1, 1966. (a) For a dog owned and used by a blind person to assist him in or along a public thoroughfare, £1 (No Hydatid Control Fee). (b) For the first or only dog owned by persons whose household is maintained from receipt of a State benefit on economic grounds, provided they have NOT sufficient income to reduce the maximum allowed, £1 10s (Reduction of 10s Hydatid Control Fee). (c) For all other dogs six months and over: 1. Up to five in number; nonworking, £2 each: up to five in number, working, £1 6s each. 2. Six to 10 dogs, non-work-ing, 5, plus an additional £1 per dog. Six to 10 dogs, working, £5, plus an additional 6s per dog. 3. Eleven or more dogs, non working, £1 10s each. Eleven or more dogs, working, 16s each. (d) For all dogs six months of age after October 31, 1966: One-half of the above-men-tioned fees. A STATUTORY DECLARATION MUST BE COMPLETED in respect of all cases under Sub-clauses (a) and (b) above-mentioned and in respect of working dogs, and when applicable, persons claiming reduced fees shall produce their State Benefit Certificates. The Dogs Registration Act provides that NO PERSON SHALL KEEP ANY DOG OF A GREATER AGE THAN SIX MONTHS for a period of 14 days or more unless the dog is for the time being registered under the provisions of the Act. No fees are payable in respect of transfers in ownership or change of addrests, BUT NOTIFICATION OF SUCH CHANGES IS NECESSARY. No dog shall be deemed to be registered until the appropriate COMBINED FEE HAS BEEN PAID. REGISTRATION MAY NOW BE.
