Belfast Red Cross Members had collected for appeals of the Red Cross Society, the Aged People’s Welfare Council and Braille week, says the annual report of the Belfast Red Cross. Donations amounting to £54 10s were forwarded to the North Canterbury centre, Vegetables were prepared for the Meals on Wheels which members helped to prepare and deliver. Quinn who presided at the annual meeting of the Avonhead Free Kingergarten Establishment Committee. In the two years since the committee has been formed, a total of £BOO has been raised.
