Belfast Red Cross Members had collected for appeals of the Red Cross Society, the Aged People’s Welfare Council and Braille week, says the annual report of the Belfast Red Cross. Donations amounting to £54 10s were forwarded to the North Canterbury centre, Vegetables were prepared for the Meals on Wheels which members helped to prepare and deliver. Officers elected were.— President, Mr s A. Henry; vicepresidents, Mrs R. Halligan and Mrs B. Smith; secretary, Mrs W. Waites; treasurer, Mrs M. Ludwig; committee. Mesdames L. Arps, L. Clark E. Salt, L. Glover, A. Rogers, W. Rogers E. Osborne and W. Hewson. Avonhead Kindergarten In the last year £440 had been raised by way of donations, a mannequin parade, a raffle and a stall said Mr B.
Quinn who presided at the annual meeting of the Avonhead Free Kingergarten Establishment Committee. In the two years since the committee has been formed, a total of £BOO has been raised.
The president of the Christchurch Free Kindergarten Association (Mrs A. D. Steven) said plans for their new kindergarten had already been submitted to the Department of Education for approval.

Donations for the year amounted to £llB, according to the annual report of the Culverden Red Cross. Mrs G. T. Eldridge spoke on the seminar in Malaysia, the South Pacific Fund, the Greek Fund and the Nursing Fund. Mrs J. N. Boag, jun., reported on the activities of the Rotheram Junior Red Cross, and Mrs G. E. Jameson, the
liaison officer, reported on the civil defence course which she attended at Lipcoin College late last year. Mr and Mrs R. Gibbs, past secretary and treasurer of the society, will leave shortly for Hamilton. Both Miss Eldridge and Mrs Gibbs were presented with sprays. Officers elected were: president, Mrs M.
