Hospital Dispute To Go To F.O.L.

(Neu> Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, April 5. The Southland Hospital dispute would be referred to the president of the Federation of Labour, among others, a well attended meeting of hospital workers from Kew, Lorne and Dee Street Hospitals decided tonight.

The meeting passed a three-point resolution, copies of which will be sent to the Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan), the Minister of Health (Mr McKay), and the president of the Federation (Mr T. Skinner). The resolution recorded grave concern “at the activities of some medical employees of the board making a determined effort to deprive hospital board employees of their democratic rights,” called on the Minis-

ter of Health “to demand that the unfair tactics cease forthwith,” and pledged “loyal support to a constitutionally elected board as employer and to Dr. J. Ramsay as acting superintendent and administrator.” (Earlier Story Page 3.)
