World’s First Peace Treaty ANKARA, A reproduction of the first peace treaty to be signed in the world is being presented to the United Nations by the Turkish Government. The Anatolian News Agency reported that it had been decided to reproduce in its original form the treaty, which was signed between the Hittite King Khattushilish HI and the Pharaoh Rameses II of Egypt in 1280 B.C. on copper. The 3246-year-old original treaty is kept at the Archaeological Museum, Istanbul.
