Natural Gas From Moomba

The directors of Santos and the management of Delhi Australian Petroleum report that the Moomba No. 1 well flowed natural gas at the rate of 2.64 m cubic feet per day on a drill stem test of the interval 7915 feet to 7970 feet. The test was conducted on the morning of Sunday, April 3, 1966, and was of two hours’ duration through a 3/8 inch surface choke. The zone tested is below the three zones previously reported. Coring and testing of permian sands below the present depth of 7970 feet will continue. Kanieri Gold (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, April 4. The dredge Kanieri' operating at Kumara returned 931 ounces of bullion from 325,000 yards of material excavated in 547 hours during the month of March.
