Two Houses Sold
A bungalow at 172 Clarence road, Riccarton, was sold for £2600 at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr E. G. Keenan. The house has a living room, a bedroom, a sun room, a bathroom, a and a kitchenette. There is also a shed on the section of 21.3 perches. A roughcast house on a section of 26 perches, zoned residential B, at 27 Stoneyhurst street, Papanui, was sold for £3500. The house at present contains six bed-sitting rooms, which return £l6 15s a week.
A 3000 square feet roughcast house containing a selfcontained flat, six bed-sitting rooms, a flatette, and a single bedroom at 1 and 1A Clarence road, Addington, was passed in at £6200.
The house is on a section of 29.2 perches, zoned commercial B. The present return is £l5 5s a week.
An eight-roomed square roughcast house and two baches on a section of 27.5 perches, zoned residential B, at 459 Durham street, St. Albans, was passed in at £4350. The house has been converted into four flatettes. The rentals from the property are £l5 a week.
The sale of the three properties was held by George Anderson and Son. The auctioneer was Mr J. Dyer.
