Two Lectures Planned
Two free Christian Science lectures are to be given in Christchurch by Miss Sylvia N. Poling, of Phoenix, Arizona. Miss Poling is a member of the Christian Science board of lectureship and will speak first in the Church edifice, 63 Worcester street, on Monday. April 4, the subject of her lecture being “The
Bible, Christian Science, and You."
The title of her second lecture is “Are You Thinking?” This address will be given in the Horticultural Society’s building, 151 Cambridge terrace, on Tuesday, April 12. Both lectures will begin at 8 p.m., and are under the sponsorship of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Christchurch. The public are invited to attend. Miss Poling is a graduate of Arizona State University. She resigned from the teaching profession in 1950 to devote her time to the public practice of Christian Science healing. She is also an authorised teacher of the religion.
