Escaper Found
fN.f. Press Association) AUCKLAND. March 30. The Whangarei police tonight apprehended Ralph Mahommed, an Indian, aged 23, who escaped from custody on Tuesday night. Mahommed was found in Riverside road, after a day-long search by police. Mahommed was convicted at Hamilton earlier this month on a charge of being idle and disorderly. He was committed to Tokanui Psychiatric Hospital and disappeared from there on March 18. He was found near Maungatapere, eight miles from Whangarei on Monday but escaped while awaiting being locked in a cell.
