Primate’s Visit To Rome

Sir,—lf there is any redeeming feature in the article this morning where a Baptist calls the Primate of our Anglican communion a Judas it is the fact that it is the product of a Baptist minister in Scotland and not New Zealand. Having been brought up in a Christian home. I was trained to believe that the essence of Christian faith is love —love for Christ, son of God; love for our neighbours as ourselves. Whether Protestant or Catholic matters not at all. I am glad our Primate and his Holiness the Pope met and conferred in the spirit of sincerity and love in the hope that unity of the churches would eventually come. I think Judas would feel rather uncomfortable, excepting in the atmosphere of Scotland.

where he belongs.—Yours, etc..
