Nevada Test

The Atomic Energy Commission announced yesterday it set off a low-yield nuclear blast at its Nevada test site as part of its programme to develop peaceful uses of atomic energy. United Press International reported. The underground test was one of a continuing series, the A.E.C. said. A low-yield explosion is one with a force of less than 20,000 tons of T.N.T.
