Mrs M. M. Burns was reelected president of the Canterbury branch of the Federation of University Women at the annual meeting.
Other officers elected were —Vice-presidents, Mrs B. Muir, Miss S. Mann, Dr. V. Benzie: secretary, Miss E. M. Trounce; treasurer, Miss J. Wallace; committee, Mesdames G. Jobbems, D. B. Dallas, O. D. Suggate, Dr. L. B. Moore, Miss D. Jones. Committee convenors—Public affairs, Mrs J .C. Garrett: hoods and gowns, Mrs J. N. Matson; international relations, Mrs G. Jobberns; Pan Pacific and South-east Asian Women’s Association, Mrs W. H. Scott; National Council of Women, Miss R. Mason.
C.W.I. Federation Meets.— Arrangements for the annual council meeting were made at the recent meeting of the executive committee of the Canterbury East Federation of Country Women’s Institutes. The meeting will be held at Prebbleton on April 20. A history of federations is being compiled.
