F.A. CUP FAVOURITES HAVE TO REPLAY

The third division leader, Hull City, surprised its first division opponent, Chelsea, with two late goals to draw their English Cup quarter-final soccer match at Chelsea on Saturday. The European Cup semifinalist, Manchester United, was held to a 1-1 draw by Preston. The only team definitely through to the last four is Sheffield Wednesday, which beat Blackburn Rovers, 2-1. Manchester City, playing before its biggest crowd for 11 years—64,ooo —played a scoreless draw against Everton. The Scottish Cup holder, Celtic, reached the final with a 2-0 win against Dunfermline, but Rangers were held to 0-0 by Aberdeen. There was plenty of excitement at Preston before the game started. A crush barrier collapsed and 11 spectators were Injured. The start was delayed for six minutes.
