CLUB IN CRYPT
(N.Z Press Association)
NELSON, March 25,
A coffee club with subdued lighting and soft music will soon change the crypt of Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson, from a black ash-encrust-ed dungeon. Young Anglicans have spent several weeks removing furnace clinker which had accumulated for 30 years. Several tons of clinker covered the floor up to three feet deep.
Teen-agers will decorate and furnish the long basement room to their own tastes and will be free to entertain their friends there.
