Drink Hours Attitude
(N.Z. frett Association) NELSON, March 24. If a referendum favoured a change in the present sale of liquor hours, the New Zeeland Hotel Workers' Federation would be favourably inclined to extend hours, but would oppose a system of staggered hours. The secretary of the federation, Mr G. Armstrong, of Auckland, said this in Nelson today after a meeting of the executive. Mr Armstrong said the federation would be favourably inclined to extend hours if and when the workers in the hotel industry were consulted and had their hours of work adjusted in line with those of the majority of other workers in New Zealand—to straight etftttour shifts.
