SYDNEY, March 22.
The Maritime Services Board has announced a 96 million dollar plan to revitalise the Port of Sydney. Over the next 10 years the board will build or renew 22 wharves in the port. In Newcastle, 100 miles to the north, the board will spend a further 58 million dollars to reconstruct virtually all the existing wharfage, build several new wharves and deepen the harbour. It will spend a further 12 million dollars on dredging and other work in other New South Wales ports over the same period.
