Liverpool Or Celtic
Britain will be represented, either by Glasgow Celtic or Liverpool, in the final of one of Europe’s two major soccer competitions, the Cup Winners’ Cup. Celtic and Liverpool have been drawn to play each' other in one of the semifinals. The third British club to have reached this stage of the competition, West Ham United, the present holder, will meet the German club. Borussia Dortmund, in the other semi-final. Britain also has one representative in the semi-finals of the European Champions' Cup Manchester United — which will meet Partizan Belgrade. The other semi-final is between the holder, Inter-nazionale-Milan, and the Spanish club. Real Madrid.
It is the third time Manchester United has reached the semi-finals of the European Champions’ Cup, although never having been a finalist. Real Madrid has won the trophy five times, from 195660, and has been the beaten finalist twice, in 1962 and 1964. while Inter-Milan won the cup in both 1964 and 1965.
