PROTEST IN ROME

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Michael Ramsey, arrived in Rome today for historic talks with Pope Paul on unity between the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches. Two Presbyterian clergymen opposed to his visit travelled with him on the plane from London. At Rome airport they waved a banner saying: “Archbishop Ramsey—traitor to Protestant Britain.”
Police pounced on them and, gesticulating and protest ing, the two parsons, the Rev. lan Paisley and the Rev. John Wylie, both from Northern Ireland, were led away for questioning. Police later ordered . their expulsion from Italy.
