League Rule To Be Used

The Australian Rugby League has decided to adopt the new five-yard rule as a local rule for the coming season.
The five-yard rule was introduced in the pre-season competition to replace the old three-yard rule. No decision has oeeu reached overseas. The Australian Rugby League president, Mr W. Buckley said the English Rugby League had deferred discussion on the rule until next June. It was not known whether the five-yard rule will be used in the coming English tour of Australia.
