Cardigans Origin
The cardigan sweater has an interesting origin. The commander who led the famous charge of the Light Brigade during the Crimean War was James Brudennell, 7th Earl of Cardigan. Having tired of yanking a
sweater over his head in order to put it on and take it off, the industrious earl came up with the buttonfront style that could be slipped into easily and quickly without disturbing a strand of his hair.
