Five Hurt On Roads
Caroline Robb, of 208 Kilmore street, suffered minor leg injuries When her bicycle and a car collided in St. Asaph street about 3.30 p.m. on Monday. Mrs M. Nihoniho, of 31 Winsor crescent, suffered similar injuries when her bicycle and a car collided at the corner of Montreal and Cashel streets. Another cyclist, George Pengelley, of 10 Melrose street, suffered fairly serious head and arm injuries and was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital after a collision with a car about 9 a.m. When a car and rubbish truck collided in Shirley road about 9 a.m. William Smith, of 478 Pages road, suffered minor leg injuries and Henry Tahuhu, of 42 Yarmouth street, minor arm injuries.
