CHARGE OF MURDER
Adjournment To May The Supreme Court trial of Nola Gertrude Lorimer, aged 47, a land agent, on a charge of murder, has been adjourned to the next session of the court, beginning on May 3. Lorimer was to have stood trial—charged with the murder of her mother, Reta Jane Coxhead —on March 14, but at the request of her counsel, Mr R. A. Young, a postponement has been granted. Lorimer is at present in custody at the Dunedin women’s prison, where she has undergone medical tests —but the results of these were not yet to hand, said Mr Young yesterday, and so an adjournment of Lorimer’s trial had had to be sought.
