BIG-GAME FISHING
Both Sections Won By N.Z. (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. New Zealand teams won both sections of the fourth international big-game fishing contest which ended yesterday. Overseas teams lagged well behind in the final placings, a United States team finishing eighteenth in the billfiSh-shark section and an Australian team seventh in the yellowtail-tuna section. The heaviest fish of the contest was a 6111 b blue marlin caught by F. Peterson, of Kawau Island. The heaviest in the yel-lowtail-tuna section was a 1451 b fish caught by B. J. Butterworth, of Mercury Bay. Leading placings were: Billfish-shark.—W. Pocklington (Bay of Islands), 2191 points; J. Jones (Whangaroa), 1592.6: F. Peterson (Kawau Island), 1477.9; E. Wing (Bay of Islands), 1068.8; Mrs L. Pharo (Whangarei), 972.
