Oamaru Shearer Wins Masterton Title

MASTERTON, Mar. 3. The Oamaru shearer C. Gibson scored a double victory tonight when he won the junior title of the 1966 Masterton golden shears and also had top shearing points in the final. He was the fourth to finish his five competition sheep—in 13min 57.2 sec—and scored 85.594 points. The runner up was G. Clearwater, of Kelso, with 84.607 points. He was third to finish, 18.6 sec ahead of Gibson. The fastest finalist was D. Carrick, of Feilding, who took 12 min 22.45ec to complete the five sheep. A crowd of about 1300 saw 42 sheep shorn in eight min-
