AUCKLAND, March 1

A jury in the Supreme Court, Auckland, has assessed damages of more than £BOOO for a young woman whose hands were injured in an accident with a stamping press machine in August, 1964. The plaintiff was Jane Rickit, aged 18. and the defendant Alex Harvey and Sons, Ltd., manufacturing engineers, of Auckland.

The hearing was before Mr Justice Perry and a jury, which assessed general damages of £Bl5O. Special damages were agreed at £3B 9s. His Honour entered judgment accordingly.
