DUNEDIN, March 1
Dunedin will have a sports meeting at two grounds, a swimming carnival at the Moana pool, a teen-age dance, and a light opera performance on Anzac Day.
Permission for ail these functions was given by the City Council’s finance committee last night to the Combined Anzac Day Observance Committee and to the
Dunedin Opera Company.
The committee has granted the permits and the reserves and water and baths committee will consider the allocation of tlie Caledonian ground and the Moana pool respectively. The only entertainment in the city last year were films at two theatres and a variety concert organised by the Returned Services Association.
