This involves, as well as sewer reticulations, the construction of several pumping stations. It is expected that during the next two years at least six pumping stations, of varying sizes, will be required. The largest pumping station will comprise at 38 feet diameter caisson 30 feet deep surmounted with approximately 2000 square feet of control building. Tenders will be received up to 4 p.m., on Wednesday, March 16, 1966, for the first two pumping stations as set out below: (1) Contract No. 65/1053 The construction of a 16 feet diameter caisson-type reinforced concrete pumping station in Rocking Horse road in the City of Christchurch.
