Clarification Of Position

WELLINGTON, March 1. “Recent newspaper reports concerning the proposed ‘shortened' method of converting office machines to operate in decimal currency might result in machine owners assuming that this decision of the Decimal Currency Board was made in consultation with the machine companies, and. in clarification of this matter, my ass. - ci at ion wishes to state that the decision was made by the board, and the machine companies were advised accordingly." said the secretary of the Office Equipment Trade Association, Mr D. P. Munro, today There were a number of matters relating to the conversion of office machines which have yet to be satis--1 : factorily resolved between the converting companies and the board, he said.
