The passenger terminal at Auckland International airport was criticised today by the Labour member of Parliament for Sydenham, Miss M B. Howard.
“Thank goodness for New Zealand that it is only temporary.” she said.
Work on building the per manent terminal should not be delayed, Miss Howard said. It should start now. “I was dismayed to visit the airport and find passengers herded round like a lot of criminals because of the restrictions in making lastminute farewells.”
Apart from the terminal, she considered the airport was most satisfactory. ■
