Arms Amnesty One unregistered firearm, a rifle, was surrendered at the Christchurch Central Police Station yesterday, the first day of the two-month arms amnesty in New Zealand. The rifle will be held pending inquiries about possible registration by a former owner. Light Rain There was light, internment rain with a light north-west wind in Christchurch yesterday. There are two tests for A, B and C grades, and one test and one piece of their own choice for D grade bands. The street march will be on May 20.
