BLACK ICE DEAD

(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH. After a disappointiong race in the Pukehou High-weight at Bulls on Saturday, Black Ice collapsed and died later in the day. She was found to have a pelvic fracture and a broken tail bone. The mare’s trainer, M. E. Griffin, said she had slipped soon after jumping out of the barrier and later bled internally. She was a six-year-old by Tauloch from Faustina and was raced by Mr I. C. Yates. Wairoa (N.Z. Press Association) WAIROA.
