Figures For Pill
<H.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 28. More than 120,000 women in New Zealand were on one or other of the many varieties of the pill that were available, the head of the Univers-
ity of Auckland PostGraduate School for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Professor D. G. Bonham, said today, speaking to a specialist conference. There were more than 19 varieties of the pill available in New Zealand, he said. In the last 10 years there had been a social and pharmacological revolution with the decline in side-effects. Packaging and techniques to facilitate accurate tablet taking had improved efficiency.
