Alterations To Teams
Several alterations have been made to the Canterbury athletic teams to compete in the New Zealand senior and junior championships. The 3000-metres steeplechase winners, J. Macdonald (senior) and K. O'Sullivan (junior), will compete in their respective events. R. Freeman will contest the 10 kilometres walk event at the junior championships, which will be held in Hamilton on March 12.
B. Harcourt (Geraldine) has withdrawn from the junior team and M. Gleeson will now run in the 4 x 440yds relay in addition to the 880yds. R. Wilson will compete only in the high jump while M. Perreau has added the pole vault to the shot put and discus events.
