Sir Walter Nash GV.Z. Prejs Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. Within a few weeks of his eighty-fifth birthday, Sir Walter Nash will be candidate for the Hutt seat at the General Election at the end of this year.

The former Prime Minister will stand for Parliament for the fourteenth time, and, if re-elected, it will be for the thirteenth time. Sir Walter Nash entered Parliament for the Hutt seat in 1929 at a by-election caused by the resignation of Sir Thomas Wilford, who had been appointed High Commissioner in London. Sir Walter Nash who is now on his way to Britain in the Shaw, Savill and Albion freighter Duranga. may set a record for longevity among Parliamentary candidates in New Zealand.
