Braemar Sells Interest f.X.Z. Press Association* NEW PLYMOUTH. Feb. 10. Ivon Watkins Dow, Ltd.,\ New Plymouth, has purchased from Braemar Industries.' Ltd.. Australia, its 50 per cent interest in WatkinsGardinol Chemicals. Ltd. Announcing this today, Mr W. G. Watts, chairman of Ivon Watkins Dow, said that his company was fortunate to acquire the half share at a -reasonable and mutually satisfactory’’ cash figure. Braemar Industries had decided to withdraw from the ! chemical industry in New Zealand and Australia and concentrate its resources in its existing, widening engineering fields. Braemar Industries has sold its Australian interest in Gardinol Chemical Company. Australas.a Pty.. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary to Albright and Wilson, ’ Pty.. Ltd., Australia, in which 1.C.1.A.N.Z.. Ltd., holds a 42 J per cent equity.

Business Personal Mr B. G. Drew has been appointed general retail sales manager of Charles Begg and Company, Ltd. He will take up his appointment on March 1, in Auckland. Mr Drew is a founder member of the Sales and Marketing Executive Club. Mr H. A. Pugh has been appointed finance controller ■ for the Ross and Glendining group. Mr Pugh, who arrived in New Zealand from England in 1950. graduated Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University. Mr P.
