QUEEN ON TOBAGO
Dances By Children (N.Z.P. A. -Reuter —Copyright) SCARBOROUGH (Tobago), February 10. The Queen and Prince Philip set foot today on Tobago, which is believed to have inspired the Robinson Crusoe legend. They will spend a day on the island after their overnight voyage on the Royal Yacht Britannia from Trinidad, where they stayed four days. After driving through Tobago, famous for its lovely beaches and birds of paradise, they will meet some of the island’s 33,300 people at a garden party. Before leaving Port of Spain, Trinidad, the Queen watched 1480 children unfurl Trinidad’s multi-racial history with a variety of dances having Spanish, British. French, Chinese, East Indian, and African influences.
