Obituary
SIR B. McLEOD (N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NTH, Feb. 9. A former second-in-command of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade who was awarded the Military Cross for gallantry in France in the First World War, Mr Bruce McLeod, of Feilding, died on Sunday. He was 75. He was a member of the Legislative Council in 1950, the year in which it was abolished by the Holland Government. He was also active in R.S.A, National Party, rehabilitation and local body work. After the First World War, in which he was a major, he farmed at Colyton and retired two years ago.
He is survived by his wife [and three sons.
