CALL FOR REPORT
Beekeeper Case (N.Z. Press Association? WELLINGTON, Feb. 9. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) has called for a report on the case of a Rotorua beekeeper, Mr W. L. Holt, who claimed a Government error cost his firm about £15,000. A spokesman for the Prime Minister said that Mr Holyoake had asked the Minister of Health (Mr McKay) to report on the matter. Last May Cabinet gave the case special consideration, and offered Mr Holt, manag-ing-director of Springfield Apiaries, Ltd., an ex gratia payment of £4750. The offer has not yet been claimed. Mr McKay said that on all the information available the £4750 was adequate compensation. After receiving a request for a £lO,OOO loan to the company, the Minister referred Mr Holt’s case to the State Advances Corporation.
