Rescuer Heard Whistle
(N.Z. Press Association) KAITAIA, Feb. 9. A motorist who heard a shrill whistle at the northern entrance to the Herekino Gorge found an injured man below the road and a frontend loader in a creek. The injured man is Matthew King, single, of Panguru, who is now in Kaitaia Hospital with a broken leg. The edge of the road gave way. The loader rolled twice as it plunged down.
