TALKS ON TAX
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 9. Three representatives of the British Board of Inland Revenue today began discussions in Wellington on the renegotiation of the double tax agreement between New Zealand and Britain. The double tax agreement is a reciprocal arrangement between countries to avoid the citizens of one country having to pay two lots of tax on income earned in the other country. The present discussion comes after some changes in the British inland revenue system. Today the three British officers met officers of the Inland Revenue Department, the Treasury,.External Affairs Department, and Industries and Commerce Department. The talks are expected to last until next week.
