FORGOT ENTRY
Honeymoon Prize A casual entry in a manufacturer’s competition last December won Miss Dallas Moran, of Hawthorne avenue, Papanui, the first prize of two airline tickets for a week’s holiday in Honolulu in May. The trip will probably also be her honeymoon, for Miss Moran, aged 20, who works in the District Engineer’s office of the Railways Department, plans to marry Mr Graeme McMillan, also of Christchurch, in May. This morning, at the D.1.C., a representative of Crown Lynn Potteries, Ltd., who sponsored the competition, will present the tickets to Miss Moran. Last evening Miss Moran said she could not recall her answer to the competition: she had filled in the entry form in a hurry, and still waited to hear details of the prize she had won. She and her fiance had not settled where they might otherwise have gone for their honeymoon, but it would probably have been to the North Island.
