Run At Trials
"The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL. Holy Hal and Fort Nelson, both engaged on the third night of the Forbury Park meeting, were the most impressive of the two-year-olds to contest two heats at trials held by the Southland Trotting Owners’, Trainers’ and Breeders' Association at Winton yesterday.
Holy HaL already a winner this season, won bis heat under a hold, and Fort Nelson, a halfbrother to a good race mare, Bonny Starlet, showed some dash to win his trial narrowly but well.
