January 27, 1966. passed the following resolution:— "That In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested In it by the ’Counties Act, 1956,’ the Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956.’ and all amendments thereto and al other Acts (if any) enabling It in that behalf and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted on the 27th December, 1965, the Council proceed to raise In New Zealand a loan of seventeen thousand, nine hundred pounds (£17,900) for the purpose of repaying that portion of the Water Supply Loan, 1954, of £145,000 which matures on the Ist March, 1966, subject to the following determinations: 1. That such loan be known as the Water Supply Redemption Loan. 1965 (hereinafter referred to as the said loan). 2. That the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed for a term of one or more years but not exceeding twenty years provided that the total amount borrowed for any term between one and nine years, both inclusive, shall not exceed eight hundred pounds. 3. That the rate of Interest that may be paid In respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not. produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding four and one half per cent per annum for principal repayable in one to five years, five per cent per annum for principal repayable in six to nine years and five and one quarter per cent per annum for principal repayable In ten to twenty years. 4. That all amounts borrowed shall be repaid tn lump sums on the respective maturities thereof. 5. That the payment of Interest and repayment of principal in respect, of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or principal in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan money. 6. That the rate ’ payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. 7. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a special rate of ,00741 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable properties within the Avonhe<ad, Belfast, Fendalton, Harewood. Marshland. Papanul. Middleton and Wairarapa Ridings of the Waimairi County. 8. That the form of security for the repayment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be by means of Debentures and interest coupons in conformity with the "Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,’ or by Registered Stock.” K.
