Applications are Invited for appointment to the abovenamed position (rendered vacant by the appointment of the previous occupant to the post of Librarian at the University of Queensland) as from January, 1967. The salary range for the position is £A3BOO/100/4300 p.a. with superannuation similar to F.S.S.U. Candidates must be university graduates with good academic records and should preferably have had considerable experience in academic libraries. Consideration will be given to applicants with long service In universities who have not previously worked in a library but can demonstrate a high degree of competence and interest in bibliography and information science. The Library contains 275,000 volumes and is growing at the rate of over 15,000 volumes a year. The -central library is housed In a new air-conditioned building. WILLIAMS, Registrar. 2647 THE UNIVERSITY OF ADELAIDE AT BEDFORD PARK SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER IN POLITICS THE University of Adelaide at Bedford Park is seeking staff, to teach a broad range of subjects in the field of Political Theory and Institutions. The curriculum will be shaped, in part, to make best use of the special abilities of persons appointed. So far. only the Professor of Political Theory and Institutions, Professor D. C. Corbett (whose specialised interests are in Public Administration and South and South-east Asia politics), and one Tutor have been appointed. Applications are invited for positions as Lecturers or Senior Lecturers from persons having special interests in any aspects of Politics but, other things being equal, preference will be given to an applicant with special knowledge of the politics of the Soviet Union and/or other Communist countries or an applicant with special knowledge of International Relations. The salary ranges at present are:—

Senior Lecturer: £A3250/110/3806 (A6500/220/7600 dollars). Lecturer: £A2400/110/3170 (A4BOO /220/6340 dollars). The University of Adelaide at Bedford Park is an academically autonomous campus of the University of Adelaide situated on a new site about seven miles south of the city of Adelaide. Academic work at the University is organised in Schools of Language and Literature. Social Sciences. Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences. Teaching will begin at Bedford Park in March, 1966. and new buildings to house the four academic schools, library and the union have now been completed. It is hoped that the successful applicants will be able to take up duty in 1966 but the actual date may be arranged after appointment.
