C.F.M. Heads Advances At Close Of Trading
Canterbury Frozen Meat made a marked recovery to sell 4s up at 33s 3d ex dividend heading a list of worthwhile advances among New Zealand issues, in yesterday’s share trading. Overseas stocks showed twice as many rises as falls with eight issues steady.
New Zealand Refrigerating notes rose Is to 14s and the dividend deferred shares 3d to 12s. New Zealand Newspapers rose Is 3d to 64s 9d, while Pye Electronics added Is to 13s 9d after a hint of brighter prospects for TV by the company’s chairman.
Mount Isa added Is to 40s—making a gain of Is 6d on the week—reflecting the firmer mining section in Australia. Other gains were made by C.8.A., National Mortgage, A.C.1., Boral, C.S.R., G. J. Coles, H. C. Sleigh and Mount Isa.
