FALL FROM 120,000 FT
Professional Parachutist
(N.Z.P A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK. Jan. 28. A 33-year-old professional parachutist plans to swandive from a balloon at 120,000 feet on Tuesday and break the sound barrier before his chute opens automatically 6500 feet from earth. Nicholas Piantanida, who is married with three small children, said he would make the leap from a one-man balloon gondola at dawn near Sioux Falls in South Dakota. A similar attemp: last October failed when his balloon sprang a leak.
