Negro Woman To Be Judge
(,V.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright > WASHINGTON. Jan. 26. President Johnson yesterday selected the United States first Negro woman judge. Mrs Constance Motley, aged 44, will be nominated by the President for the Bench of the U.S. District Court for the southern district of New York. Mrs Motley, who has one son, is a lawyer who has handled civil rights matters.
