Boy Drowned
(N.Z. Press Association) WHAKATANE, January 28. A boy was drowned after falling from a home-made raft in the Whakatane river. He was Graeme Alan Kahika, aged six, a stepson of Mr K. W. Herewini, of Wepiha street, Whakatane. The mishap occurred a few chains below the Whakatane wharf. A skin-diver recovered the body about an hour later.
