EXHIBITION OF BRONZES
Works By Lipchitz (NZ. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 21. A comprehensive exhibition of works by one of the greatest modem sculptors, Jacques Lipchitz, will be on show in the Auckland Art Gallery from February 11 to 27. The exhibition, of 158 bronzes, was prepared by the Museum of Modem Art, New York, and is sponsored in New Zealand by the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council. The bronzes, recently cast from clay sketches, represent a record of 50 years in the life of the artist, from 1912 to 1962. After the Auckland showing. the exhibition will be displayed in the National Art Gallery, Wellington, before being returned to the United States.
